Ozone is a strong oxidizing gas: that’s what lets it break down odour molecules, and it’s why we only use it in the closed, empty car, at the studio. Nobody is in the car during the treatment. Afterwards, the car is aired out for about an hour before we hand it back. Our products are used according to the manufacturer’s directions.
Yes. Pet, urine and other organic smells are treated at the source: the affected fabric is deep-cleaned, then the cabin is treated. It’s different from smoke, so we assess it separately and adapt the treatment. If your car also has pet hair, see our pet hair removal.
A musty smell can come from the air system or from a water leak. For the air system, we treat it along with the vents and replace the cabin filter if needed. If it’s a leak, the leak has to be fixed first, or the smell comes back. We tell you at the diagnosis.
An ozone treatment is done the same day: plan for half a day at the studio, airing out included. Pickup time is confirmed at the diagnosis. A full restoration usually takes one day, up to two for difficult cases. A 20% deposit reserves your date. You get the timeline with your quote.
It comes with every full restoration. If the treated smell comes back within 60 days of pickup, we redo the treatment once at the studio, at no charge: message us within the 60 days and bring the car in. It doesn’t cover a smell that comes back because someone smokes or vapes in the car again, a new source of smell (pet, spill, food, water leak, mould) or a mechanical cause, such as a heater core or exhaust leak. The ozone treatment has no guarantee, but its price is deducted if you book a full restoration within 30 days.
For a light, recent smell, sometimes: airing the car out, cleaning the surfaces, washing the mats and changing the cabin filter can be enough. Smoke that has soaked in for months is in the foam, the headliner and the vents: sprays and little trees cover it for a few days, then it comes back. That’s where treating the source makes the difference.
Only at our climate-controlled studio in Terrebonne: odour removal isn’t offered as a mobile service. The work needs the studio’s equipment and a closed, controlled space.
